Does anyone have any good websites or books for a complete beginner wanting to learn hypnotism to look at?
As I said, I'm a complete beginner to hypnotism. I'd just like to find out how to hypnotise someone... ever since watching Derren Brown!
A books I would recommend is "The Art of Hypnosis" by Roy C. Hunter. He has a very practical and easy to read and understand. He also has a booked called "The Art of Hypnotherapy" which get more into the therapeutic applications of hypnosis.. He has others that are more specific on advanced techniques "Inner conflict Resolution." These are available on the web (amazon and the likes) and probably your local library.
There are hundreds of other resources on the web, but like anything that you find on the web, you need to take with a grain of salt, and look at what they are saying. There also is some very misleading information out there.
Other names that you might want to check out are, Milton Erickson, Ormond McGill, Dave Elman, Leslie LeCron. There are lots of others out there but these are the ones that I can think of right at the moment.
